Dear Reverend Ikani Vaitohi,

Kings Funerals has been engaged to facilitate and conduct the funeral service of Mrs. Judith Ann Johns.

I have met with the son Henry. Henry was hoping the service might be lead by you at your church on Thursday, 20/07/2023 at 11:00am. A private cremation would follow.

Please let me know if this date and time can be accommodated?

Warm regards,

To: Rev. Ian Weeks:

Dear Mr Weeks,

I am presently researching a paper on "The secular university and the marginal status of religion in the history of Australian higher education."
I've been speaking with a number of theologians in various colleges/schools of theology, along with some others, to discover their views on this topic. Brian Howe has recommended that I speak with you.

Would it be possible to make an appointment for a conversation with you, either by phone or I could come to Geelong?

Here is the draft abstract that I'm working to for the paper.

Draft Abstract: The University of Sydney (1850) and the University of Melbourne (1853) are among the very first secular universities in the world, reflecting the positivist ideas and anticlerical sentiments flowing from the eighteenth-century’s Age of Enlightenment. Subsequently, scholarly indifference to religion in general – and Christian theology in particular – has characterised the academic cultures of nearly all of Australia’s public higher education institutions. The result is that a substantial element of human history and culture is either absent from their concludes that researching and teaching about religion – historically, comparatively, philosophically and hermeneutically – is a major responsibility of any university worthy of that name.

Yours sincerely,

Gosh Brian,
I'm ashamed of my non replies to your questions. I expected any question to come to my inbox but I've just discovered that questions like yours go to the host site of the Uniting Church websites. So here I am.
I'm very new to Belmont and have been tasked with setting up a website for the church.
Yes I believe you are correct that the methodist church was sold to the Masons but I cannot verify the date.
The Ferguson's, the Harper's and the Jennings family are still about if you wish to contact them for a chat.

So sorry for the delay
